TMJ, Temporomandibular joint disorder, is a significant and seemingly irresolvable source of discomfort.
We have found localized PEMF exposure to the base of the skull produces significant durable relief of TMJ pain and elimination of clicking sensation. This data suggests that TMJ is partially caused by neck tension and inflammation in the nerve exit at the base of the skull.

One PEMF treatment helped me.
ReplyDeleteTMJ problems are something a person has to live with. Initially after the bilateral treatment, I felt some comfort and relief. It lasted into the evening. I went from a level of discomfort rated at a 3-4 to 1-2.
I have lived with TMJ for all of my adult life. I have tried everything: bite adjustments, a dental splint, massage, chiropractic care and acupuncture. Acupuncture has helped more than anything until the PEMF treatment. As long as I do not eat or talk, I have no pain. (We all know how realistic not eating and not talking is.)
I am 48, an RN,and experience TMJ site pain and chronic headaches. Stress makes it worse. Sleep helps very much and this machine helps. The next day it was 20 minutes before I felt a headache. That never happens.
The chronic fatigue and the pain can be helped.

TMJ PEMF treatment has helped me with relaxing the area. I was able to open my mouth only 1.5 finger width prior to bilateral treatment. It is 5 days later and I have maintained being able to open my mouth to a 3 finger width. I have low levels of pain 2-3 most of the time and a tightness level of 5-6/10 since my injury in high school. The discomfort is 1-2 now and tightness is 3/10. I will keep treating.
